Iss. #53 | As If the Olympics Wasn't Hard Enough

An interesting sub-plot to the Olympic golf scene comes out of South Korea. Apparently, according to law, every able-bodied South Korean man must serve a mandatory 20 month stint in their military before their 28th birthday. Ok, not the first country to require military service and I respect the hell out of people giving back to their country.

Iss. #51 | Time Zones Suck, Amiright?!!

For a sport that so often is played on manicured lawns and palm-lined fairways—to see pros battling the elements in dingy conditions and looking miserable, it gives me an odd sense of pride. Yeah, that's f*****n' golf they're playing.

Perusing Golf Digest led to this crazy story (and podcast) about the most dominant golfer you’ve never heard of. Meet Babe Didrikson Zaharias, winner of 10 majors and the only woman to make a PGA Tour cut.

Creating these absolute fire US Open posters that would look ideal in my man cave... which doesn't currently exist and if you ask my wife she'll say that I can have the 4 foot tall crawl space area behind our garage.

Iss. #45 | What Would You Want in Your Forever Course?

Lefty doing his best Stanley Cup impression—"but make it Phil." So Make It Phil he did by introducing a bottle of what I can only imagine is a hyper-expensive bottle of Napa red, staining that pristine silver in a way only a champion deserves.

Iss. #44 | The Match Is Already SCORCHIN'!

In the greatest stroke ( golf pun!) of scheduling luck I've ever seen, TNT announced the latest July 6th edition of The Match—just as the Bryson/Brooks beef from Kiawah was reaching a nice medium, medium-rare.

The year was 1991 and Mark Calcy-v was cruising to a match play victory in the Ryder Cup—hosted by The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (conveniently the same course hosting the PGA Championship this weekend...)

Iss. #42 | Oh! Byron Nelson Was a G?!

The Tour makes one final stop before the PGA Championship this week, just north of Dallas, for the Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch. (Which honestly sounds like the name an unimaginative kid in grade school named Craig called his backyard playhouse but... no judgment!)
