Bad Birdie started as a side hustle in our founder Jason Richardson’s apartment with one thought: golf apparel
was boring. His first job at age 12 was caddying at a stuffy country club where the dress code was as traditional
as it gets: overly proper, dull, and completely lacking personality. His love for the game grew over the years, but
golf apparel? Still stuck in the past. So he set out to make polos he and his friends actually wanted to wear,
something bold, different, and anything but boring.
What began small quickly grew into a movement. Golfers everywhere joined in, and before long we weren’t just a side hustle, we were in pro shops, major retailers, and even pitching on Shark Tank. From there, we opened stores, signed pros, partnered with schools, and built a community of golfers who value the game and a good time over stuffy tradition.
Our story is still being written, but our mission remains the same: to make golf apparel that swings as hard as you do, stands out as much as you want to, and lasts as long as your love for the game.
